Every inch of this masterpiece is hand-assembled in the storied textile heart of Yorkshire, where our master bed makers devote hundreds of hours to the creation of each piece. This is not simply a mattress, it is an heirloom of comfort, a generational investment in rest.

At its heart lies a meticulously hand-tied array of calico-encased pocket springs, arranged across multiple layers to deliver a truly responsive, cloud-like suspension. But it is what envelops this spring system that sets The Grosvenor apart.

Wrapped in layer upon layer of hand-teased, long-fibre British wool, organic cotton, and luxuriously resilient horsetail hair, this mattress breathes with you; cool in summer, warm in winter, and always indulgently temperate. Horsehair, long prized for its natural spring and airflow, is combed and laid by hand to add buoyant support and moisture regulation, once the secret of royal bedding, now reimagined for the world’s most discerning sleepers.

Each mattress is dual-sided, allowing seasonal rotation and longevity far beyond ordinary beds. Every side is crafted with the same uncompromising attention to detail, because excellence, in our philosophy, is never hidden beneath the surface.

The flanks are hand-finished with an extraordinary four rows of traditional hand side-stitching, a rare and vanishing skill performed only by our most experienced artisans. This time-honored process binds the outer edge to the spring system within, offering unmatched edge support and shape integrity for decades to come.

Encased in the finest Belgian damask ticking, woven exclusively for us by a 200-year-old family mill, and completed with hand-tufted woollen rosettes, The Grosvenor is the very definition of stately rest. It is available in Soft, Medium, and Firm tensions, and; should you desire, it can be custom-tuned for each side of the bed.
